New Water Tower = More Jobs In Barnett Shale Area And No City Property Taxes
New water tower highlights booming economy in Barnett Shale despite poor economic conditions elsewhere. New jobs, no city property taxes, and a sheltered economy thrives in Cresson, Texas.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 4, 2008 --
While normally a water tower going up is not big news, this time it is.
The City of Cresson, just 20 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, hasn't had a new water tower in over 50 years. This water tower is one of the ways the city is able to grow without any city property taxes. New schools, retail, commercial, industrial, and residential developments are all in the works.
Several companies have recently purchased property here and are expected to bring 250-500 jobs to a town with less than 500 citizens.
Cresson is located at the crossroads of HWY 377 and HWY 171. The water tower is going up at 9AM Monday morning on October 6, 2008.
