Mora&Associates hosts Networking Wine Event for Houston Area Human Resources Leaders

Mora, former Vice-President of Human Resources and Administration for the Houston Rockets, hosted a Networking & Wine Event on Thursday, October 2, at The Tasting Room – Uptown Park. The event aptly named Cocktails&Company brought together several of Houston’s outstanding human resources executives in an upbeat and cordial social atmosphere aimed at building strong relationships and finding professional resources in the company of colleagues.

Cocktails&Company was also jointly underwritten by Marci G. Moss, Financial Advisor with Citi Smith Barney and Mike O’Brien of Star Performance Group, a consulting group specializing in organization alignment. Mora stated, “We have come to depend on technology for much today, however, for those seeking to be successful in their careers or in business, quality relationships still serve as primary drivers. It was my relationship with Marci and with Mike that pulled this evening together. Our objectives in hosting this event are to strengthen current relationships, establish new relationships, and introduce a group of people to one another whose lives and careers will be better for knowing one another.”

Mora, who serves as managing partner for Mora&Associates HR Search, has 15 years of human resources management experience with notable for-profit organizations including Entergy Corporation, HEB Grocery Company, and Houston's Toyota Center. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Mora stated that there will be a next Cocktails&Company event but it is still in the planning stage. However, Mora&Associates will be busy in the coming weeks. The firm is currently working several professional searches and will be exhibiting at HR Southwest’s Human Resources Conference & Exposition in Fort Worth, Texas at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Wednesday and Thursday, October 15 - 16, 2008.
