Boca Raton, FL – Kruse International is proud to celebrate its 35th anniversary with a spectacular collector and classic car auction at the beautiful Polo Grounds in Boca Raton, South Florida. The mega event will kick off New Year’s Day, January 1st through January 4th and is expected to be one of the largest events of 2009. Along with LifeStyle Auctions, Kruse International is very please to announce that the partnership between the two mega companies will donate a large portion of the proceeds to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, an organization devoted to finding new treatments to an incurable but treatable disease of the plasma cell.

Among the 500 cars expected to participate in this history auction all eyes will be on the 1968 Cadillac Eldorado owned by the biggest rock n’ roll legend Elvis Presley. Elvis traded in his '66 Olds Tornado and purchased this 1968 “Gold” Cadillac from Madison Cadillac, in Memphis, on December 28th, 1967 for $8,836.83. He drove it on personal business a little more than a year until one day it refused to start. Elvis drew a pistol and fired a shot into the right front fender of the vehicle. Fortunately, the shot was not fatal (to the car). Thrilled with the recent birth of his daughter Lisa Marie, Elvis gave the Cadillac to his stepfather, Col. Beaulieu.
The car was eventually purchased by an Australian businessman and shipped to Australia where the car remained on display at a Planet Hollywood restaurant widely known to create a dinning experience inspired by the worlds of music, film ad television. Elvis’ Cadillac Eldorado was subsequently acquired by a prominent businessman, car collector and Elvis fan and returned to America to be displayed in his business. The vehicle is currently kept at his home.

The famous Elvis’s logo, “TCB” (Takin’ Care of Business) appears on each door of this exceptional vintage automobile. Documents offered with the car include the original title signed by Elvis as well as copies of the original bill of sale, registration and certificate of insurance, all in the King's name. This car has never been offered before at an auction and will attract Elvis fans and car enthusiasts worldwide!
We strongly recommend prospective bidders to pre-register with our office before Dec. 20th, 2008, however a registration booth will also be available during the 4 days of the event. The $50 bidder fee entitles car aficionados to a VIP pass to attend an exquisite Champagne Brunch at the Polo Grounds just before the auction starts on January 1st, 2009.
General admission tickets can be purchased on site. Adult tickets are $10 per day. Children 13 and under pay only $5.
