Boca Raton, FL – Kruse International is proud to celebrate its 35th anniversary with a spectacular collector and classic car auction at the beautiful Polo Grounds in Boca Raton, South Florida. The mega event will kick off New Year’s Day, January 1st through January 4th and is expected to be one of the largest events of 2009.
At this year’s event, Chevrolet aficionados will have the unique opportunity to buy a super rare 1969 Yenko Chevelle SC 427 “COPO 9562”. As known in the collector automobile industry, the Yenko/ SC Chevelle had a production run of only 99 with only 35 of its models surviving until today according to Corvettes-MuscleCars.com website.
The Chevelle to be auctioned in Boca Ration is completely unrestored, in 100% of its original condition, and riding on it’s race slicks from the early 1970’s when it retired from the drag strip. There is also some dirt in the fender wells from its last ¼ mile run back at the same time. The win stickers are still on the windows, and the time slips in the glove box. This vehicle has always been garaged and leading a very quiet life for the past 35 years. This car has rare 427 L-86 aluminum open chambered heads, which cranks out 600 HP. This one owner vehicle is balanced and blueprinted. Automobile collectors also understand this 4 speed Yenko Chevelle race car dominated its class in the ¼ mile with consistent elapsed times in the 10 second bracket and MPH of 125.
This is unquestionably a once in a lifetime opportunity to own what is believed to be the rarest Chevelle in the world. Of the 3 Yenko Chevrolets left with L88 engines, this is the only one known to have survived. Never offered for sale at any auction before, not many car enthusiasts have seen this incredible automobile, nor have they known of its existence since it disappeared from the racetracks over 35 years ago.
The 35th Anniversary of Kruse International will also be an event to raise awareness and funds to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Along with LifeStyle Auctions, Kruse International is very please to announce that the partnership between the two mega companies will donate a large portion of the proceeds to the organization that is devoted to finding new treatments to an incurable but treatable disease of the plasma cell that affects thousands of Americans every year.
We strongly recommend prospective bidders to pre-register with our office before Dec. 20th, 2008, however a registration booth will also be available during the 4 days of the event. The $50 bidder fee entitles car aficionados to a VIP pass to attend an exquisite Champagne Brunch at the Polo Grounds just before the auction starts on January 1st, 2009. General admission tickets can be purchased on site. Adult tickets are $10 per day. Children 13 and under pay only $5.
