The Win the Ultimate Prom Contest Wants You to Score a Band for Your Prom

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 21, 2008 -- Every high school in the nation now has a chance to win $25,000 to use for prom or any other school project with the annual Win the Ultimate Prom (WUP) contest! In order to win the grand prize, a school has to generate the most votes during the two month duration with the contest ending on November 15, 2008 and winners announced on December 1, 2008.

WUP has just announced a brand new contest for high schools that gets one popular band to play at their 2009 prom! In order to win, students, staff, faculty or anyone can visit the new website at http://www.band.wintheultimateprom.com and vote for their favorite featured band. The school that gets the most number of people to vote for the band of their choice will win! The featured bands are Sick of Sarah, Between the Trees, Jonathan Clay, Slow Motion Red Lights, and Crash Midnight.

“The band contest is perfect for anyone, but is especially great for schools that are not already involved with WUP and want to get started. Since it’s a brand new contest, all of the schools are on a level playing field, and no high school can win more than one prize; so start voting and promoting today if you want your school to win!” says Dani Yardley, a Win the Ultimate Prom coordinator.

The band contest runs until November 15, 2008 and the winning school will be announced via text message to our text list subscribers on November 16, 2008. To be added to this list, simply text the word “prom” to 25278.
