Star Studded Kruse Auction in Hershey, PA Brings Strong Sales

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 22, 2008 -- Hershey, PA – This might not be the best quarter for the financial and stock markets worldwide, but this past weekend in Hershey, PA proved that automobile collectors still believe the vintage car market to be a strong one for investments. Kruse International held its 8th annual Hershey Auction at the Giant Center on October 9th through the 11th, 2008.

At a time when most economic experts speculate the best ways to make educated investments, “it is good to remember that collector cars are tangible assets that can be put for sale if the owner experience a momentary financial trouble”, said Dean Kruse, Kruse International president. “ Our auctions are the perfect opportunity to bring sellers and buyers with a common goal together.”

The 8th Annual Hershey Auction brought over 200 vehicles to cross the block and the highest sales were the following:

Shelby Coupe 350 $181,500
1957 Chevrolet Corvette $85,800
1919 Sayers & Scovill Hearse $47,300
1955 Chevrolet 210 $45,100

At this year’s event, Kruse auction attendees counted with the presence of very high profile bidders including the Olympic Gold Medalist, two-time Heavyweight Champion of the World, and successful entrepreneur Gorge Foreman who bought himself a 1955 Chevrolet 210, a 1931 Ford Model A A-400, and several other cars. Total Hershey auction bids topped the $5 million mark and nearly doubled what was originally projected.
