GOES HAWAIIAN FOR RED RIBBON WEEK

Seminole, FL; October 29, 2008 – Blessed Sacrament Catholic School located in Seminole, Florida celebrated RED RIBBON WEEK this week with a burst of Hawaiian flair. Red Ribbon Week is an annual awareness campaign to educate children on the dangers of illegal drugs and alcohol. Red Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for schools to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives.

Throughout the week students at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School participated in a range of fun and informative activities and assemblies promoting Red Ribbon Week. Themes for the week included:

Monday, Oct. 27 “Drugs Give You the Blues” – Sport all blue attire
Tuesday, Oct. 28 “Wild About Being Drug Free” - Show off your wild & silly side
Wednesday, Oct 29 "Shade Out Drugs" – Don your best shades
Thursday, Oct. 30 "Lei Off Drugs” - Dress in Hawaiian attire
