Miss Black California USA Opens Up Hot Fashion Show at G-Baby Loft in LA

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 5, 2008 -- Los Angeles, CA – November 4, 2008 – The reigning Miss Black California USA, Jalondra A. Davis will rock her crown and the catwalk at The Art & Fashion of Black Beauty on November 16, 2008 at 2:30pm, the 4th annual fashion show presented by Gbaby Artwear. Gbaby Artwear, a funky, innovative boutique in South Los Angeles that specializes in one-of-a-kind hand-painted handbags, jewelry, and fashion pieces for Black women, is celebrating six years in the business.

The show will feature new designs by artists and owners Sylvia and Giovannie, which can be seen at www.myspace.com/gbabyartwear. Beautiful models of all shapes and shades will also showcase the work of guest designers Allohn, Jaire, Sherrell Precious Pieces, Phati of New York, Jimmi King from Altanta, Andy Drew 2, Madeline Keita, Larry Poncho Brown of Baltimore, Ambiguous Jewelry from New York, and Sister Queen Jewelry.

Special guests include Miss Black California USA, a long time customer of Gbaby Artwear. “I worked with Sylvia on a benefit fashion show I coordinated at Loyola,” she says. “And I have been hooked ever since. Her clothes and accessories are all about being original and feeling good not only on the outside, but from within. She truly celebrates the beauty of Black women and with her gorgeous designs and with her ministry in the community.”

Special guests also include artist Simone Fennell from San Diego, the daughter of the late Black artist Albert Fennell, showcasing originals and prints. The afternoon will also feature a custom dessert and tea bar, a live DJ, and entertainment by Poncho Williams. All fashions and artwork are for sale immediately after the show, so come ready to shop!

Miss Black California USA Jalondra A. Davis is a graduate of both Loyola Marymount University and the University of Southern California.
