The inspiration behind the “Career Boot Camp” is the combination of record level unemployment rates coupled with significant economic unease. “Right now, people need help with career transition. The marketplace is competitive, but not impossible,” says DeLay. “People are obviously concerned about their career - where it’s going and if they’re prepared for a changing economy. They’re also worried about their budget.” The boot camp encompasses all the benefits of private career coaching, but for a far lower cost (about $99 a month compared to $100 to $300 an hour market rate for private coaching).

Limited to groups of 15, the “recruits” will meet twice each month over the Internet, as well as do individual exploration and activities, to collaborate in a safe environment to discover their career goals, develop a career search strategy, target their search marketing materials and learn the skills they need to find and land their next job. At the end of four months the recruit will have a clear vision of where they’re heading and focused tools to get them there. They’ll also have a network of new friends who share many of their goals and will continue to be a great support to their efforts now and throughout their career.
