Tate Music Group Hosts Artist of the Year Music Contest

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 10, 2008 -- Tate Music Group has announced the hosting of the Tate Music Group Artist of the Year Contest . This contest will be an amazing opportunity for any Tate Music Group artist to vault their music, pocketbook and career to the next level.

The contest itself will be an annual event held each year in downtown Oklahoma City and boasts and award winning and celebrity panel of judges to render a decision in the finals as 5 final groups converge on the city to claim the title of Artist of the Year .

Mark Mingle, The Director of Marketing said, "There are very few opportunities for real artists in this industry and this is one that can give the winner a real advantage and help them succeed in this difficult industry."

Every Tate Music Group artist will have the opportunity to submit a song they feel is their best and will give them the best opportunity to win. Submissions will be received until the end of January and then the voting will begin. Voting will occur by submitting ballots to industry professionals, online, and with Tate Music Group executive staff. After the submissions have been narrowed down to just 5 artists, there will be a live performance and a celebrity panel of judges that will determine the winners. The top three will go home with cash, prizes and future record contracts.
