Green Jobs for Philadelphia

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 18, 2008 -- A new website makes it free and easy for Philadelphians to offer and request green jobs, green services, green grants and green loans. Green Jobs Philly's twice-monthly News provides a digest of the greening of the Philadelphia economy.

"Most new jobs will not be created by either government or big companies. Neighborhood initiatives, using inexpensive technologies, are employing neighbors directly, to reduce the costs of heating and eating," says Paul Glover, publisher. The site has received a grant from New Voices Foundation, of Washington, D.C.

Glover is also author of a book by the same name. It introduces programs and processes which accelerate green business and job creation. He teaches at Temple University, and was founder of Ithaca HOURS local currency.
