Interior Design & New Construction - Part IV
Part III of a series dedicated to exploring the myths behind interior design's role in new construction.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 21, 2008 --
A friend of mine and I were catching up one evening a few months ago, when he informed me that he wanted to start building a new home. Though he knew I worked for Studio 2.0 Interior Design Consultants, he was surprised to learn that we could assist him with designing his new home from concept to completion. He had mistakenly assumed that we at Studio 2.0 could only assist with renovations or material selection. Our conversation surprised me, yet got me thinking about how many other people had the exact same misconceptions. Through our conversation I was given the opportunity to clarify four main misconceptions my friend had.
[Misconception #5] This process sounds as though I have to be very well off to afford to hire an Interior Design Consultant.
[Truth] Hiring a professional Interior Design Consultants should be viewed as an investment, much the same way the actual house is viewed. This is because having a properly designed, well thought out functional and aesthetically designed house increases the resale value of the home and assists in saving you time and money by avoiding costly mistakes. The other thing is you need to personally value your own time and determine how much of your personal, family or work time are you willing to sacrifice to invest in your new home. All of Studio 2.0’s services are customizable so the services involved in each project vary based on your needs and budget. This way we are able to assist you with your project, whatever your budget.
I was amazed at the opportunity I had been given in one evening to clear up so many of my friend’s assumptions about using an Interior Design Consultant in new construction.
