In order for your renovation or new construction project to be successful you need a solid understanding of your goals. When deciding who to hire, ask around; ask people you know who have experienced their own renovation or building project, or ask construction suppliers whom they have used in the past or can recommend. Professional people often align themselves with whichever industry-specific professional association is available to them in their community. The same is true of contractors/builders.
