Nucla Mayor Did Not Resign To Avoid Removal

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 26, 2008 -- Family of Mayor Roxanna (aka Roxanne) Allex Issues Statement regarding allegations against them.

"The accusations against us are false. We have two large boxes of documentation to prove it. We have documented everything for the last eight years, and continue to do so today.

I will say this once and only once. My grandmother never assaulted this person. She did not do any of the things she is accused of. All she did was try to protect herself in a bad situation. A restraining order was issued to all parties involved, not just the one.

I never tried to run anyone over. I was accused, but the subsequent investigation cleared me of all charges. It never took place. I have witness and police statements to prove it.

My mother did not commit the crimes attributed to her either. It was her first meeting as Mayor, she didn’t know the rules, and she followed the guidance she was given. That’s all there is to it.

The Nucla mayor Roxanna Allex (or Roxanne as the press release identified her) did not resign to avoid removal as has been reported. She resigned because the feud had taken over town politics for six months, at the last board meeting the board went on record stating that this accusation was false.

Not one of us has a criminal record of any kind, no history of violence or dishonesty. We aren't perfect, but we've always tried to stay on the right side of the law."
