New Author Releases First Book in a Fantastic New Series

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 26, 2008 -- November 22nd, 2008 -- Since first starting to write what began as a short story almost three years ago, fledgling author Brad Norsworthy has revised the story and setting into not one but a series of published novels, short stories and novellas about the world of Unda Vosari, the first of which will be out by Christmas.

When the first edition of the unreleased novel was largely applauded due to the unique niche it had discovered, Norsworthy took advantage of the opportunity to improve and expand his earlier work. The result is a fully published novel with new scenes, more character development and a better constructed plot.

"I was blown away by the original opinion of the story I’d written, which was largely a very and when I was approached by other authors who suggested publishing it, I went for it. I’m really excited about how much interest this has garnered." Norsworthy said. "I didn’t expect this much interest."

In the story, Captain Vincent Lorimar’s wealthy merchant family is betrayed and sold into slavery. After Vincent escapes, goes into hiding and joins a crew belonging to the Baron that betrayed his family, he commits mutiny and begins a series of adventures. While not a common pirate, Vincent and his crew, as they travel across the world looking for Baron Calavera and Vincent’s family, upset a very precarious balance that sends the world spiraling down a path that no one had intended.

When Norsworthy first penned the story, he was barely 24 years old and just learning how to write professionally. He has since worked more extensively with editors to learn how to better craft a story and develop more natural dialogue. He also consulted with friends who have had experience as professional fantasy authors to better flesh out the setting.

"I’m looking forward to working with more of them in the future, and improving as an author. There’s so much to learn about writing, and this publishing is only the start of what I hope will be a great series for both me to write and others to read." Norsworthy said. "If things go well enough, I may end up branching out into music and comic books. The sky’s the limit."
