(Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2008 -- Starting with our eight cottages, the new owners began to sharpen things up. From the cottage decks that were maybe five feet wide, to now more than twenty five feet wide in some cases. New kitchens and painting of the cottages was a must. The cottages had colors that never have been seen on this planet. So these things were just a start to a new era and transformation that will bring Little Hawk Resort & Marina to the forefront in cottaging and quality accomadations in the Haliburton and Muskoka areas.

Little Hawk Resort & Marina takes pride in making your stay a memorable one. This would be attesed by our new friend from Provence France. To start the vacation we set the snowmobile rentals for the times desired. Snowmobiling was brand new and would take some time to master. A day of snowmobiling would make any one retire early, and so was the case for our new found friend. Day two again would be filled with a new experience that would be a memorable one yet again. Ice fishing on the Hawk lakes can be quite an experience even as a seasoned veteran. Out we go to try our luck, drill the holes, bait the hook, and here we go. Well is wasn't long before the action started. Our friend from Provence started pulling and so did our other guests. Next thing we new rods were being pulled all over the place. Lake Trout at Little Hawk do not just come straight up, fishing lines crossed and fish all going in circles, the mess had to be cleaned up. After some fast negotiating the fish started popping out of the holes. With smiles from ear to ear the guests were ready for a fish fry. The restaurant at our resort all of a sudden was going to have a fish fry. Our resident chef would cook up a feast of fish for the guests like no other. After a hard day of fishing what else would a man from Provence want to do. He had his first time snowmobiling trip, his first time ice fishing trip, first time eating his catch, yes why not watch his first Superbowl game. Football is not top of the list for thing to watch in France. Mr. Provence has never even seen a football game let alone understand the game. Trying to teach someone the game of football in an hour is quite a task. The day ended with maybe the best Superbowl game ever played. The excitement in the restaurant was fantastic, everyone had a great day. Appreciation was given to our staff, and off to the cottages everyone went for a good nights sleep.
