The 2009 BMW 3 Series Sedan is a flagship brand in the BMW lineup. Its engine incorporates BMW’s EfficientDynamics program, which maximizes performance and safety while keeping the vehicle’s fuel consumption and emissions low.

The 2009 BMW 3 Series Sedan is offered in a choice of two engines. The smaller of these is a 3.0-liter; 328i Inline six-cylinder engine, which has power of 230 horsepower at a low torque of 200 lb ft. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, and delivers a high fuel economy of 28 mpg.

The other, higher engine is the 3.0-liter; 335i Inline six-cylinder. This comes with an output of 300 horsepower and torque of 300 lb ft. This engine is capable of reaching 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, and gives fuel economy of 26 mpg.

Both engines are made up of all-aluminum block, which has an advanced coolant derived from the Piezo injection technology. While keeping the engine cool at high speed and over long distances, this system also ensures low emission levels.
