Okomfo Yaa Amoaba Badu (Dr. Ometha Lewis) member of the Akan Spiritual United Order (A.S.U.O) in conjunction with the Pan Masters Steel Organisation present a holiday fundraiser "Pan Jazz & Parang Party" on Saturday, December 20, 2008. Lennard Jack and Fusion, Washington DC's metro area most sought after Caribbean jazz band will be the headliner. All proceeds will benefit a road building project in Larteh, Ghana, West Africa. This project was established by Okomfo Yaa Amoaba Badu and Okomfowa Kwabena Duku.

The venue is De Panyard, 4559 Rhode Island Ave. Brentwood MD. Show time is 9.00pm. Lennard Jack and Fusion, "music with an accent!", will perform hits from their debut CD "Give Thanks" and also songs from their upcoming Caribbean Jazz CD. After the show, the parang and party continues with music from DJ Jimmy T. Parang music, with its Spanish influences, is typically heard around this time of the year in Trinidad & Tobago and many other Caribbean countries. The donation for this event is $15.00. We invite you to come out and experience Caribbean Jazz and Parang at its best.
