FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 11, 2008 --
African Goddess today announced its highest readership recorded in a single week. Following an online ad, more readers visited African Goddess this week than in the last four weeks combined.
Since its official launch in October 2008, the online magazine designed solely for modern-thinking, career-minded African women around the globe, has seen a substantial, but steady trend in its readership. “What makes this exciting is the fact that while most of the people visiting the site in response to the ad did so out of curiosity, some stopped long enough to post comments; and a few sent personal letters to the editor,” according to N. Amma Twum-Baah, managing editor of the publication.
Seeing the effects online advertising has had on the magazine this week, Amma says African Goddess will continue to explore this avenue as a premier medium to get the word out and reach as many people as possible across the globe, in addition to their monthly newsletter scheduled to go out in January 2009.
African Goddess, in order to cater to the needs and expectations of its avid readers, is also seeking to fill available writer and columnist spots available at the publication. “With such growth, the size of our staff must also grow in order that we can accommodate and meet the needs of our readers. It is so exciting to know that an idea that was only an idea a year ago is slowly turning into a dream. Amma stated. “I am so excited at the prospects for the coming years. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for African Goddess.”
The publication which officially went online at the end of September has received nothing but positive feedback, growth in readers from every corner of the globe and an increase in the number of loyal readers. The online publication recently went from being a periodically updated publication to being updated monthly. African Goddess seeks to become the premier online publication dedicated solely to presenting and addressing the issues that affect African women. At this rate, Amma admitted, they are halfway there! The magazine is head-quartered in Silver Spring, Maryland. Visit African Goddess at http://www.afrikangoddess.com
