Amtico Hard Flooring Used In Bond Movie "Quantum Of Solace

Pinewood Studios, the production company for the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, commissioned Amtico International to provide flooring for one of the many exciting scenes in the film.

Amtico was chosen over other companies because of the finesse and perfection of the Amtico products. Since all Bond movies require "out of the world" products starting from the Bond Cars to Bond's accessories and house, Amtico was given the mandate to do the flooring. Amtico International provided 120 square metres of flooring, from the ‘feel exclusive’ stones collection. This product was chosen for the renowned durability of Amtico’s ranges and most importantly, the desire to recreate the look of a marble floor for a scene filmed in an Italian art gallery.

Pinewood studios was extremely impressed with the quality of products delivered by the company.

Quantum of Solace’s supervising art director, Chris Lowe commented, “I have to say, we noted at the time that we were very relieved that we chose to use Amtico flooring, as other flooring methods would never have lasted the duration of the shoot. It stood up remarkably well and we were delighted by the results.”
