FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Easter Seals North Texas consolidates Tarrant offices into new headquarters

FORT WORTH – Easter Seals North Texas, which annually serves more than 10,000 clients in 34 North Texas counties through fourteen programs and services, will consolidate its two Tarrant County offices and move to 1424 Hemphill beginning January 16.

The move from the offices at 1555 Merrimac Circle and 508 South Adams Street will be completed by Jan. 31. When completed, more than 80 Easter Seals employees will office in the new location.

“New plans for our current site necessitated finding a new location, which provided an opportunity to consolidate our two Fort Worth offices into one,” said Monica Prather, CEO of Easter Seals North Texas. “Our new building offers the space we need to provide our services while affording greater operating efficiencies and improved communication.”

Easter Seals North Texas and owner/landlord Kensington Properties agreed to a five-year renewable lease. Steve Relyea of William C. Jennings represented the landlord and Patrick Blauser and Burl Martin of Century 21 Judge Fite Company represented Easter Seals.

The building is 20,478 square feet and fully wheelchair accessible. It features four small conference rooms (seating for 20-30) and one large meeting room (seating for 120). It also includes three break room/kitchen areas.

Plans are to accept donations of labor and supplies to transform the interior atrium to an all-accessible garden spot for visitors and clients to enjoy. Initially, artwork from child artists currently participating in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Program and the Autism Treatment Program will be featured.

In 2005, United Cerebral Palsy of Tarrant County (Merrimac) and Easter Seals Greater Northwest Texas (South Adams) merged. In 2007, the Dallas and Fort Worth Easter Seals organizations agreed to a merger and became Easter Seals North Texas.

Easter Seals North Texas also provides services from offices at 4443 North Josey Lane, Suite 100, in Carrollton and 4201 Brook Spring Dr., Bldg. B, in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas.
