Freedom Financial Network, Freedom Debt Relief Buck Trend with Record Level of Charitable Donations

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 17, 2008 -- SAN MATEO, Calif., Dec. 15, 2008 – As the economy has continued to decline, consumers are not the only ones feeling the pinch. Nonprofit organizations are struggling this year as they try to help the least fortunate among us.

But at a time when nearly three quarters of America's large corporations expect donations to charity to remain flat or decrease this year , Freedom Financial Network, LLC, is taking the opposite direction with record levels of charitable contributions during the holiday season.

“Our company's foundation is based upon helping others,” says Brad Stroh, co-founder and co-CEO of Freedom Financial Network, which provides debt resolution services and personal finance resources through debt and tax relief programs offered by its Freedom Debt Relief and Freedom Tax Relief subsidiaries. “This is an important time, with the tough economy, to reach and give just a little bit more.”

Employees at the company’s three offices are teaming with several local organizations to help some of those individuals hardest hit by the recession.

San Mateo, Calif.
· Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties – Collecting food donations; the company will also make a cash donation. To date, employees have donated 3,139 pounds of food.
· The Family Giving Tree – Fifty employees will be volunteering this holiday season at the Milpitas-based organization, the largest gift and backpack donation program in California.

Tempe, Ariz.
· Salvation Army Toys for Tots – Collecting donations of new toys; to date, employees have brought in more than 100 toys.
· Goodwill – Collecting donations of clothing and household items.
· St. Mary’s Food Bank – Collecting food donations; the company will also make a cash donation.

Sacramento
· Salvation Army – Collecting donations of gently used clothing; to date, employees have filled a 48-square-foot bin.
· Sacramento Food Bank – Collecting food donations; to date, employees have amassed 1,800 pounds.

While the company has always helped community organizations, says Stroh, “this year, we are making a special effort to help those afflicted by the economy. Our employees are going over the top to make a difference in others' lives.” Stroh urges other companies to look in their local communities and see how they can help. “Giving this way is one of the best holiday traditions around.
