Not Ur Momma’s News Launches 100,000 Angels Experiment to Promote Micro Funding in Hard Times

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 17, 2008 -- Euless TX (December 16, 2008) – Not Ur Momma’s News today announced the launch of its 100,000 Angels Experiment, a new micro-funding strategy designed to help worthy community groups one dollar at a time. The experiment is an innovative, almost brazen approach to financing for profit and not for profit start-ups, a virtual tweak of the nose at the crumbling economy.

The 100, 000 Angels Experiment is reflective of the Pay-it-Forward foundation Not Ur Momma’s News is building on. Fifty percent of the after-tax proceeds from the 100,000 Angels Experiment will go immediately back into the community. Three youth-oriented community service organizations, a start-up entrepreneur, and two contributing angels are slated to be the first 100,000 Angels beneficiaries. The cyber-newspaper will make all 100,000 Angels related accounting records available on request.

“Most all of us are dealing with dollar doubts”, says NUMN Publisher Michelle Roberts, “but mercifully, most of us can still scrape up a buck. This is about modifying the fundraising lessons learned from the Obama presidential campaign to create an easy to duplicate self-financing system that can potentially free us from traditional bureaucratic and often ambivalent funding sources. The 100,000 Angels Experiment may well provide us a funding solution that will eliminate our communities’ need for bankers and welfare.”
