New Moon and Eclipse Talent Search Casting Calls

Producers of "Twilight," the film that earned $70.5 million in US box-office receipts during its opening weekend is having a talent search and casting calls to find new actors.

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 25, 2008 -- The movie "Twilight" rang up the fourth-highest November opening weekend of all time. That's an extraordinary result for an independently produced film that cost just $37 million to make and was passed over by Paramount's MTV Films.

The film, tells the story of a Romeo and Juliet-type romance between a mortal and a vampire. As with the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Twilight" tapped into a rabid fan base. The series of four books has sold 25 million copies worldwide and generated more than 350 fan sites.

Summit has now officially announced two sequels based on the second and third books, "New Moon", and "Eclipse". Now that "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke has been replaced by director Chris Weitz, the next two installments of Stephenie Meyer's vampire book series will be filmed back to back.

The filming locations include Vancouver, BC; Rome, Italy; as well as Los Angeles. Many new actors will be cast as well as an abundance of extras. The casting and auditions information is available on the following website:
