Wilson is the very definition of insanity

Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson has decided to keep head coach Dick Juaron. With that decision Wilson has shown that he is the very definition of insanity.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results,” which was stated by Benjamin Franklin.

Wilson is expecting just that from Juaron, his staff, and the players. As the saying goes you cannot teach an old dog new tricks.

In three years Juaron has gone 2-21 against teams that are .500 or better. Against the elite teams of the National Football League Juaron’s teams have just been an embarrassment.

The biggest example of Juaron’s incompetence came against the New England Patriots on the road. Juaron and the Bills called a time out, because they only had ten people on a punt return.

As the story goes the media in Boston just laughed at the Bills in disbelief that they called a timeout on a punt return, when all they had to do is tell Roscoe Parrish just call for a fair catch.

So, why did Wilson decide to keep Juaron? Wilson stated this in a statement released to the press, “That being said, I believe that this team, at this time, is better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul. The team played hard all year long, and there are many positives to build on.”

Wilson went on to state that the Bills are close personnel wise. That means even Wilson recognizes that the problems are with the coaching staff, especially the offense.

Wilson unfortunately must bite the bullet when it comes to offensive coordinator Turk Schonert. It is believed in his contract it is written that he has total control over decisions on the coaching staff, and Juaron will not make any changes to his staff.

The fact of the matter is that the biggest problem for the Bills is with the coaching staff itself. Many times the coaching did the same thing over and over again scheme wise, which cost the Bills dearly.
Also, decisions on play calling in key moments were a huge problem.

Last Sunday with the second quarter about to end the Bills had a third and four in New England territory, and were well within field goal range. The Bills had no time outs, and there was less than :30 seconds left on the clock, and instead of calling a pass, which could stop the clock, the Bills called a run play that ended the half with the Bills getting no points.

Two weeks before that in a game on the road against the New York Jets there was 2:06 left in the game, and instead of running the ball to run out the clock the Bills called a bootleg pass, which resulted in a fumble being returned for a touchdown.

Simply, in three years Juaron and his staff have too many times showed the inability to properly coach on game day.

If Wilson turns out to be wrong it will be too late. Many fans have turned their backs now on the Bills, because we have all realized that Wilson has lost it he is nothing more than insane old man.
