Where is the rest of you? Isn’t it time to find out? As we go through our daily lives, we sometimes feel that a material piece of ourselves is missing, something that’s undefined and unfulfilled. As Thoreau noted in Walden, “When we are unhurried and wise, we perceive that only great and worthy things have any permanent and absolute existence…explore your own higher latitudes.” That's something we should be doing on a regular basis.

E.E.Cummings noted: “The hardest thing in the world is being yourself…There is no reason to rejoice for the man(or woman) who would rather walk with the noise and avoid the voice.” "Your Unfinished Life" provides revealing insights that can lead you to your highest self.

A reporter once asked George Bernard Shaw, “If you could live your life over and be anybody you’ve known, or be any person from history, who would it be?” Shaw replied, “I would choose to be the man George Bernard Shaw could have been, but never was.” Who could you have been? Finding Happiness

We all want to be happy. To most of us that means achieving personal fulfillment and success in one way or another. I'm not speaking of material success, which is certainly pleasant, but of something far more life changing and long lasting, real gratification or what is sometimes also called authentic happiness.

"Your Unfinished Life" is all about finding personal fulfillment and finding peace of mind. It's a broadly spiritual,self -help book because it's designed to re-energize, but it's not specifically about religion. Regardless of her/his affiliation or non affiliation,everyone seeks happiness and self-esteem.

What is suggested in this book is something good, desirable and readily adoptable by anyone of good will seeking to get more personal satisfaction out of life. There is great power and satisfaction in knowing that you have the ability to help someone else. It provides the opportunity for personal growth and real self-improvement.

Why I Wrote "Your Unfinished Life"

This is my fifth book. The others were about real estate principles, real estate advertising, and career guidance for college students. Some people might wonder why a college business administration professor and real estate broker would write a book like "Your Unfinished Life." But I believe this book is the most important one I've written because its effect is far more important and its message is timeless. Making the most out of the rest of our own unfinished lives is something we can all relate to and wish for in one way or another. It's about the ability to make some kind of a difference in something we decide is important to us. I want my life to count for something in the time I have left. (Follow Dr. Robert Schuller's guidance and plan to live to be a hundred. Even if we don't all make it, we'll continue to have a meaningful focus and a positive impact in the time we do have left.) Living a worthwhile life makes it something we can be proud of today and enables us to leave our best legacy to the future too.

We can all make a difference in things large and small. My mother used to tell me that everyone wants to do the big things, but not as many want to do the small things. Mother Teresa noted however that in the little things, true greatness is found.

We all have unspent currency inside of us. I hope that this book will help you find and spend your own often and well. Believe me when I tell you, I'm working on it also. That's part of the reason I wrote this book. Not just to hopefully inspire others, but to remind myself too.
