The Goat of God tells the story of the original scapegoat, chosen to bear the sins of the Hebrew people at the very first Day of Atonement in the Sinai Desert as described in Leviticus, Chapter 16. The protagonist in the story, Zael, is changed from goat to human in order to bear those sins, finds that he cannot die while still bearing them, and is then tasked to record the Old Testament.

"It was so interesting for me to walk through much of the Old Testament with Zael, that I could barely put down this fascinating novel," stated John McClure, president of Signalman Publishing.
