Columbia, MD – December 20, 2008 -- On Sunday, January 25th, Vision Runners International (VRI) will kick-off a controversial four-week sermon series entitled “Electric Sex” at United Artists Snowden Square Cinemas located at 9161 Commerce Center Drive in Columbia, MD. “God created sex so that a man and his wife could become as close as humanly possible. . . sex is the perfect union of Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual desires . . . when they are in balance between you and your spouse you can have the Best Sex Ever,” says Pastor de Souza. The sermon series will explore Pornography, Desperate Sex, Homosexuality, and Abortion. “We’ve tackled some interesting topics with past series like “Monsters” and our current series “Will the Real Jesus Please Stand UP?”, but the “Electric Sex” series will definitely challenge our guests to explore their views,” says Co-Pastor de Souza.

Vision Runners International, a nondenominational multicultural church based in Ellicott City, focuses on reinventing the church environment in a way that makes it more accessible and relevant to residents of the Greater Columbia Community. VRI regularly hosts their nontraditional “Worship Experience” as well as a “VRI Kids Service” on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11am in the United Artist Movie Theater. “This is not your typical church environment – this is truly a community you can feel comfortable in regardless of your background or beliefs”, says member Phillip Brew.
