Yoga-inspired fashion for sun, sweat and snow.
Cat Tilt makes it highly anticipated debut in Toronto's Art + Design district!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 13, 2009 --
Teaching a class full of enthusiastic yoga students was something Cat Tilt boutique founder Alison Hamilton once used to feed her aspirations. However, after studying yoga for ten years and subsequently teaching Vinyasa yoga for one year, Alison decided to broaden her horizons and extend them far beyond the downward dog.
In September '07, Alison walked by a vacant Walnut Avenue boutique that had a "for rent" sign in the window. It was then that Alison had the idea to open an exclusive boutique that reflected her personal style and featured functional, yoga-inspired clothing designed for sun, sweat and snow. In July '08, Cat Tilt (198 Walnut Avenue, 416.519.5189, www.cattilt.com) opened its doors to a style-hungry crowd that was eager for clothes they could wear before, during and after yoga class.
Cat Tilt carries a variety of collections Alison chooses during scouting trips to Los Angeles. From Melrose Avenue to Sunset Boulevard, Alison combs the streets searching for pieces she craves and knows her clients will love to wear.
"Exclusive lines are a priority for me," Alison says of the pieces that fill Cat Tilt's walls. "You should be able to accessorize any piece (in Cat Tilt) or you can wear it to practice. It’s a personal shopping experience."
From Gwen Stefani's eclectic Harajuku Lovers collection to Montreal-based Pure and Simple, Cat Tilt boasts a rotating collective of hard-to-find pieces that any fashionista worth her stilettos would hang in her walk-in closet. Alison's fun, flirty, feminine style is a staple on Cat Tilt's racks, and she is only too pleased to pass on her fashion secrets!
