FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 18, 2009 --

The Creative World Foundation is an organisation which makes it possible for children all over the world to discover their talents with the help of creative programs, materials and education. In this way the children will get more self-confidence and learn to think in a more creative way. This will give them new chances to shape their own future. The Creative World consists of an international team of creative professionals, who are going to work as volunteers for three weeks. They will provide train-the-trainer-workshops for teachers and companions of orphanages and schools all over the world. These trainers originate from all kinds of disciplines like dance, music, drama, plastic arts and (circus) theatre.

The Creative World was founded in 2007 by Rik Konings after a humanitarian clownstour in Tanzania. He experienced there was too little space left for the playfulness of the child within the walls of the school. And this was which touched him a lot. Out of the positive energy emerged from this trip, the idea grew to develop structurally and especially for these kids a creative program. This contributes to the idea that learning can also be fun. During this trip the group made more than thousand children a creative offer of play, singing and dance in orphanages, children’s hospitals and street projects.

And now the foundation is on the eve of the first Creative World-tour. In February 2009 a group of creative trainers will be travelling to Tanzania. This group consists among others of Marco Paoletti (Arg.), Nata Galkina (Rus.), Isabelle van Maele (B.) and besides Rik Konings, Rob Verkooijen, Nick Petersen and another three creative Dutchmen. On the spot this team will be reinforced by creative teachers of creative centres from Tanzania. Teachers and companions from the country itself will be trained by the team, will receive programs and materials to continue the creative offer themselves. To promote world-wide the philosophy of The Creative World, several trainers will be running the Kilimanjaro Marathon on 1st March, 2009. Originator Rik Konings has even decided to run half a marathon while juggling with three balls! An international documentary of this trip will be made by (camera-) presswoman Yvonne Maas. And there are already plans for more Creative World-tours, following the trip to Tanzania. Countries like Malawi, Brazil, Romania, India, Surinam and Argentina are on the program in the near future. But also the Netherlands will not be forgotten by the philosophy of The Creative World.

The journey of the Creative World-tour will be paid by the proceeds of the juggling workshop given by Rik Konings himself. This will be held on 25th January at 11 o’clock at a place yet to be fixed at Eindhoven. With his company Jongleerworkshop.nl and by means of creative trainings, Rik Konings is able to support companies and organizations with the processes of change and transformation. In this case the skill of juggling is used by him as an instrument. Those interested in the workshop can leave their name and e-mail adress on the website of The Creative World (http://creatieve-wereld.ning.com ). Participants of the workshop have to pay € 30,00 ( extra donations are of course very welcome ). At the workshop every one will receive a professional set of juggling balls in memory of this special occasion. The proceeds will benefit completely to the first Creative World-tour.
