FINANCIAL ANALYST EXPLAINS TRANSPARENCY MATTERS IN AS MADOFF VICTIMS PREPARE UNPRECEDENTED LAW SUITS

International Real Estate Analyst and Financier, Charles Byron Andrews explains that while transparency issues are certainly going to be transforming the fund industry as we know it, the stiff regulations are still far away from taking place.

“This Madoff scandal has been a complete disaster - and multiple layers deep - for so many managers, investors, and regulators within the hedge fund arena” Andrews explained during the press conference from his Palm Beach County home this morning before leaving for San Francisco. “Full disclosure has always been a term that we’ve used, however moving to total transparency - and real, verifiable facts, is the only way to keep this industry alive.”

Andrews and his colleagues at Blue Coast Asset Management, a fund based out of East London, are still feeling the affects that ‘one small group of people’ has had on this entire, worldwide industry. Andrews is in town to speak to several groups of investors and finance professionals in the Northern California area in conjunction with the National Real Estate Association’s sponsored seminar series beginning tonight.

“We know people in the industry that have lost so much not only for their investors due to exposure to the Madoff fund, but also their families and friends, that they are completely shutting down and moving out of the country,” explained Andrews.

Andrews expounded, “This is going to be a long term discovery and investigation, as the bulk of the incredible financial damage hasn’t even been learned yet.”

It is Andrews’ determination that many people will be transitioning at least temporarily into other sectors. Andrews’ firm is in town in order to meet with small, local real estate firms to see if they can offer assistance in growing their businesses on a national franchise level.
