Both have been working on Around Campus Bookstore. Bennie, since he attended Mercer, for 5 years and Fentriss, since he joined the company, for 6 months. By the way they debate on why the site is ready to go and why it is not ready to go, one may wonder how they made it this far. "I have just a little bit more sympathy for the broken used college textbook system than does Bennie," laughs Fentriss. "The internet was brand new when I stepped onto West Georgia's campus. There was a mad scramble at the end of each semester to get with a fellow student with whom you could buy your book from for cheaper than the bookstore or sell your book to for more than the bookstore was going to give you. The only competition my campus bookstore had was an off campus bookstore with great prices but a fraction of
the selection. They were on the right track but the business model was not sufficient enough to really make a difference in the market."

Meanwhile, Bennie shows the system no mercy. "Well, by the time I entered school the internet had grown up. So my friends and I sat around at the beginning and end of each semester complaining about the ridiculous prices of our textbooks. After my first year I made it my business to devise a way on how can we take the power away from the campus bookstore and give it back to it's rightful owner: the students! I'll be honest, I wanted to put my campus bookstore out of business. They were getting away with highway robbery and they knew it. With the advancement of the internet, that is now possible and I plan to take full advantage of the opportunity."
