NETSHARE Launches Regional Networking Meetings for California Executive Job Seekers

NOVATO, Calif. (January 27, 2008) – To help career changers and job seekers expand their network of contacts, NETSHARE (www.netshare.com), the subscription-based career management service for senior managers earning $100,000 or more, will sponsor a series of monthly NETSHARE Area Meetings. These NETSHARE-hosted meetings are open to all professionals interested in career advancement and will be facilitated by local career coaches. The first four meetings are scheduled for next week, February 2-5, in four California markets: Orange County, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco.

“There is a world of difference between networking online and networking face to face,” said Katherine Simmons, CEO of NETSHARE. “There’s something about being in a room with other people, and speaking in front of a larger group that gives you an emotional energy and inspiration you don’t experience online. Through these Area Meetings, we want to encourage professionals to make connections that will help them throughout their journey, both personally and professionally.”

The Orange County Area Meeting is scheduled for the first Monday of the month and the Los Angeles Area Meeting is scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The February 2 meeting will be held at Executive Career Services in Irvine, California, and the February 3 meeting at Executive Career Services in Los Angeles. Both meetings will be led by Vivian VanLier, a Certified Career Coach, Personal Branding Strategist, and Published Resume Writer. Ms. VanLier is a graduate of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a two-time co-chair of the International Career Development Conference.

The Silicon Valley Meeting is scheduled to be held the first Wednesday of every month from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Peter Engler will chair the meeting on February 4, which will be held at the offices of Challenger, Gray & Christmas in San Jose. Engler coaches executives “for career clarity and success,” specializing in aiding executives considering a career transition.

The San Francisco Meeting is scheduled for the first Thursday of every month from 8:30 to 10:30 at the San Francisco offices of Challenger, Gray & Christmas. Next week’s February 5 meeting will be let by Randy Block, a certified career coach with more than 30 years of experience guiding all levels of professionals in the areas of career transition.

NETSHARE also will be sponsoring monthly area meetings in New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas.
