FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 29, 2009 --
Dion Communications, LLC launched Let’s Talk about Race, a blog for anyone seeking to further the discussion about race relations in America. The blog is based on Dion’s personal experiences and includes opinion, humor, advice and reader interaction through surveys and homework.
Owner and blog moderator, Angela Dion, a black woman from Southern Maryland, grew up in an area that was voluntarily segregated. The racial divide was clear and never crossed. Over twenty years ago she married Marc, a white man whose family is originally from Canada. The couple has learned how to live in harmony despite racial and cultural differences.
Dion says, "Through my experiences in an interracial marriage, both positive and negative, I want readers to more closely examine their consciousness about race and start discussions with their friends, families and coworkers."
Initial posts such as: I Didn’t Vote for Obama, Two (or Three) Dumb Things White People Say, and The Experiment (about a couple who chooses to buy only from their own race for a year) have received much comment. Let’s Talk about Race promises to challenge readers to think about their own prejudices while providing a forum for honest communication.
Dion is a writer whose articles have appeared in more than 150 publications. She has helped other writers fulfill their dreams with her teaching, coaching and editing services.
