Ice Age Frost Shifts to more Nutritious Products

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 30, 2009 -- In response to the call for more nutrition in Schools, Ice Age Frost, the successful franchisor of the Ice Age Frost product line nationally, has moved towards 100% fruit juice, fruit smoothies and milkshakes with reduced sugar and real milk. This shift comes ahead of the growing number of states and school districts calling for legislative action.

“Looking at the current situation, from both health and legal, this seemed the perfect time to make this change” said David Clawson, President, Ice Age Frost. “We have always been a leader in providing the best products for the children. We were one of the first companies to offer Vitamin Fortified products and 50% juice sports drinks, to replace foods of minimal nutritious value (FMNV.)”

Ice Age Frost will continue to offer it’s traditional products in other markets, but will focus on providing the educational market – a segment where they are an industry leader, the fortified, 100% real products. These new products were developed not only in consideration of the state’s pending legislation but in conjunction with the local School Districts desire to provide a better, healthier product for the children at lunch.

Knowing the children will drink the frozen drinks because they are “fun” gives Ice Age Frost a great leg up in providing better nutrition. By adding vitamins, real milk and keeping the already great tasting products available, Ice Age Frost is able to get the children to “drink their vitamins” without knowing they are taking them.
