(Free-Press-Release.com) February 4, 2009 -- Robert D. Edelheit, President of United Group Programs, Inc. announces a new hearing aid program that will begin in February of 2009 for new business OptiMed mini-medical plans serving employer groups effective on February 1, 2009.

This program will provide a valuable hearing aid benefit and coverage for those employees with impaired hearing. Mini-medical plans are limited benefit plans. By offering the hearing aid benefit UGP is increasing the value to both employers and employees who qualify to participate in the OptiMed program.

It is UGP's intention to remain the leader in quality mini-medical coverage and by the addition of this benefit, it is another step in the right direction to improved coverage and providing additional value for the mini-medical sector.
