South Windsor, CT—Registration has begun for the 2009 Greater Hartford Women’s Conference (GHWC) where best-selling author Joan Anderson will be the luncheon keynote speaker and radio personality Mary Jones will be the master of ceremonies. The full-day conference is set for Wednesday, April 29, at Maneeley’s Banquet Facility in South Windsor, Conn.
Everyone registering by March 1 will receive a complimentary autographed copy of one of Anderson’s books. She is the author of five best-sellers, including A Walk On The Beach and An Unfinished Marriage, and has been a guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show and Good Morning America.
The conference -- presented by The South Windsor Chamber of Commerce -- will focus on professional development, education, and networking for professional and entrepreneurial women of all ages. Last year’s inaugural GHWC was a sell out.
“Participants can look forward to a great day of thought-provoking discussions and presentations on business, financial security, health, and achieving professional and personal success. There should be something of interest for everyone. We’ve really packed a lot of information into one day,” explains Cate Evans, executive director of the South Windsor Chamber.
The conference will open with motivational speaker-author Joy Baldridge, followed by a lively panel discussion on The Power of Beliefs and how they either can empower or hold one back. Participants also will be able to attend two workshops that focus on business, health, finance, and personal development. Tickets are $129 for the day’s events, which include the panel discussion, guest speakers, workshops, networking, breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and exhibitors.
To register or for more information on the 2009 GHWC, go to www.greaterhartfordwomensconference.com or call the South Windsor Chamber at 860-644-9442.
The Greater Hartford Women’s Conference will donate a portion of this year’s proceeds to non-profit Foodshare of Bloomfield.
