SureHire Introduces Hair Drug Testing In Alberta Locations

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 6, 2009 -- SureHire Inc. is launching our newest technique in drug testing technology. Hair drug testing! While this practise has been common in the United States for several years, it is only recently beginning to come into Canada. SureHire is now one of the only providers in Canada to offer this technology.

SureHire is beginning its hair testing launch in all or our Alberta offices, which include: Nisku, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Lloydminster, Medicine Hat and Grande Prairie beginning in February 2009. Eventually the testing will be expanded to our locations in eastern Canada, and some of our collection sites across the country.
Unlike urine or oral fluid drug testing, hair samples can detect drug use for up to 90 days! It can even be narrowed into 30 day segments, to determine exactly how long ago in the 90 period that drugs were used. All that is required is a 1.5” (3.8cm) section of hair taken from the crown of the head. And if a sample of head hair is not available or possible, body hair can also be used to perform the test.

Hair drug testing is a popular option in the court system due to its long time frame, and the fact that hair samples are almost impossible to adulterate. And it is for this same reason that hair is beginning to grow in popularity with employers, especially in return to work cases.
