Austrian American Artist Sibylle-Maria PFAFFENBICHLER Art Exhibition Opening "Jazz on the Vine"

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 10, 2009 -- The body of work consists of 12 larger pieces, oil on canvas as well as works on paper.

The theme is American Dance - Boogie Woogie and Swing - and Portraits of famous Jazz and Blues Musicians and Singers. The flagship of the show is a large double portrait of Billie Holiday titled "God Bless the Child".

Thelonius Monk, Duke Ellington with Caravan, and Nat King Cole are present too.

The exhibition is part of a larger event, the Long Island Winterfest, supported by the Long Island Wine Council as well as the East End Arts Council. 60 free Jazz Concerts are offered during this festival of "Jazz on the Vine" throughout the enchanted vinyards of Long Island's North Fork.
