King of Prussia Orthodontist to Speak at SureSmile User's Meeting

Orthodontic treatment has taken a quantum leap forward into the 21st century with new SureSmile technology. SureSmile, a product from the company Orametrix of Richardson,TX, is a new state-of-the art CAD/CAM technology for orthodontics. Dr. Adam Weiss of King of Prussia and Collegeville, PA is the first orthodontist in Pennsylvania to use SureSmile technology. From there, the information goes to Richardson, TX where a robot bends a wire designed to move the teeth to their desired position. The robot is able to bend the wire to a level of accuracy well beyond human skills," states Weiss. "The precision bent wire is made from a shape memory alloy that directs the teeth into their final position in a very efficient manner. It is the efficiency of the system that results in shorter treatment times of 30-40%." The SureSmile technology does come at a premium in cost over conventional orthodontic treatment, but as Dr. Weiss explains,"I find my SureSmile patients' feel the extra cost was well worth getting out of braces sooner."

Dr. Weiss is a SureSmile user since October 2006, and offers the new technology to all of his patients getting a full set of braces. As an experienced SureSmile user, he was invited by the company to speak at its upcoming User's meeting in San Diego, CA at the end of this month.
