In 2007 the Herman Brothers started providing a unique fishing guide service, where Justin and Nate would take clients and their families fishing on the clients own lake. During these guided trips, they would teach their clients everything they could possibly need to know about catching fish in their lake. This became such a popular event with their clients, that the pond managers made arrangements with several area private lake owners to start taking out guided fishing trips to the public. In 2008, Justin and Nate taught more than 1000 local children, seniors, widows, and just plain regular people how to fish!

During the ice fishing season of 2008/2009, their guided fishing trips took on another unique twist when Justin started filming all of their fishing trips. He then would make 8 to 10 minute fishing shows for their clients to share their ultimate guided fishing trip with the world! To keep tabs of all their fishing photos, stories, and videos, Nate started a blog called www.thediaryofalakenerd.blogspot.com.

A guided fishing trip with Herman Brothers usually consists of about 4 hours of fishing for up to 4 people. They provide all the necessary fishing gear, tackle, bait, licenses, photos, and now starting in 2009 your entire fishing trip will be filmed and edited!
