Richardson, Texas – February 19, 2009 – Minute Menu Systems is pleased to announce that Ms. Sally Carrano has been awarded the Linda Clark Memorial Scholarship, a full scholarship to the 2009 Minute Menu Boot Camp. Ms. Carrano has worked in the CACFP for 12 years and is looking forward to increasing her knowledge of the Minute Menu HX software. In her excellent essay, Ms. Carrano spelled out her plans to take the knowledge she obtains back to train her coworkers. Her plans also included ways she could use that knowledge to help her agency improve provider outreach, contributing to everyone’s further success. We are committed to helping her—and her agency—bring those plans to reality.
The Linda Clark Memorial Scholarship is endowed in memory of Linda Clark, co-founder of T & L Computer Systems, Inc., (now Minute Menu Systems) and co-creator of the Minute Menu System. Linda Clark saw the potential for automation to help CACFP Home Sponsors process claims every month faster and with more accuracy. Her ideas were the motivation and inspiration behind the creation of the Minute Menu System, which now helps over 300 Sponsors around the United States process their claims every month. She worked tirelessly to ensure that Minute Menu users received the best service and best product possible, and was a vocal advocate for the CACFP.
About Minute Menu Systems, LLC: Minute Menu Systems, LLC, was founded initially in 1993 as T&L Computer Systems, a small company run by a dedicated husband & wife team who figured out a way to help Sponsors of in-home family child care providers in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) radically streamline the task of processing monthly CACFP claims from providers. Currently over 100,000 child care providers use Minute Menu software each month to track and report Child and Adult Care Food Program reimbursement data to sponsors and state agencies. The company also has nearly 300 sponsors in over 40 states using the Minute Menu HX software to facilitate monthly provider claims. Minute Menu is based out of Richardson, Texas.
