The Solana Beach Art Association presents
the premier Spring Renewal Poetry Party and Reading--
a coming together of community poets of all ages.

With all the doom and gloom of our lagging economy, how refreshing to focus on the hope and joy that Spring brings to us each year. As part of it’s mission to support and showcase the local arts, the Solana Beach Art Association has partnered with Del Mar’s “The Book Works” in the community spirit of presenting a poetry jam that will celebrate Spring Renewal. All are welcome to participate in this first family friendly celebration which pairs a poetry recital with visual art.

The event will take place Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 4:00–5:00 p.m. at The Book Works located in the Flower Hill Shopping Center, at 2670 Via de la Valle, next to the Pannikin Café. There will be an open mic for anyone who wishes to share their Springtime themed original work of poetry. Participants must sign up at The Book Works prior to the event, limited to the first 30 who sign up. Poems, appropriate for family enjoyment, should be no more than 20 lines.


In conjunction with the event, the art work of several local fine artists from the

Solana Beach Art Association will be exhibited in the Pannikin Café.
