Network Marketing Exposed - Get the Facts, the First Time.

I am going to briefly go over some of the MLM and network marketing systems that are available for your disposal. To succeed in MLM / Network marketing, YOU NEED TO BRAND YOURSELF.

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 26, 2009 -- OK guys and gals, I want to briefly go over some of the key things you need to take into consideration before you start ANY business, not just network marketing or MLM or online marketing.

I am going to briefly go over some of the available MLM and network marketing systems that are available for your disposal. To succeed in MLM / Network marketing, YOU NEED YOUR OWN BRANDED SYSTEM. Many people don't realize this - in fact, many people think "Yeah, I'll just join company XYZ because they claim that their system does all the work for me".

This is not true, and if you believe this, you may want to reconsider and re-evaluate the opportunity you're taking a look at, as well as the reasons that you're taking a look at a home based business in the first place.

What you must realize is that nothing worth multiple 6 figures/year is easy, nor will it run on "auto-pilot". Sorry if this is a huge shock to some of you - but it needs to be said.

I've been a network marketing leader for almost 2 years now, and this is the mistake I see a lot of people making during their first few weeks or even few months. The system is a key ingredient in your success, but it's not the systems fault if you're failing. There are plenty of people having success in these systems, right? What are these people doing to create success with their home based business opportunities?

The answer is actually very simple; they BRAND themselves as leaders. They brand themselves as leaders, even if they're still following someone elses steps, until they start seeing the results they want. This doesn't mean "fake it 'till you make it", in fact, I've found that most people who just lie about their income and their own success end up sabotaging themselves and their businesses slowly, from the inside out.

One thing you must do to see the kind of success that the top earners and leaders see, is that you need to provide REAL VALUE to your prospects. Why should your prospects shoose to follow you? What can you provide for them? What do they see in you that they don't see in the millions of other network marketing / MLM distributors out there? Things like training calls, webinars, one-on-one training, financial planning, and an ability for them to customize their own attraction marketing system, using their OWN videos, and their OWN content.

If you're promoting a company replicated site, or a network marketing / MLM system with someone elses videos and content on it, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

You need to be branding yourself , your own system, and provide value for your prospects to want to join you by implementing some of the methods I wrote about a couple paragraphs up - basically everything that I do for my team, which is why I have tons of people calling me every day. In other words, stop talking about your company, your opportunity, and the products. Talk about how YOU can help people achieve what THEY want. It's about THEM , how can you help them achieve what they are looking for? That's the answer you need to provide.

If you have not made a single dime in network marketing / MLM, do not talk about how you're making 5 figure months. In fact, even if you ARE making 5 figure months, you still don't need to talk about it. The types of people you should be attracting to your business should be seriously motivated and success minded people who don't need to know exactly how much money you're making.

Think this is too outrageous? If so, this industry is just simply not for you - go look elsewhere for an opportunity. I you want to really provide longevity for your business, and real value for your prospects, you are honest about your business. It's all about positioning yourself as a leader, not as a faker.

I just want to make this perfectly clear - I have my own success with network marketing, and I don't need to throw out a number to impress you guys. I get this phone call all the time - actually to the point where it's almost hilarious, "So, how much have you made in company XYZ so far? How many sales have you made?"

Listen, I'm flattered that you're concerned with my results in which you don't know about, but shouldn't you be more concerned with your OWN results rather than pre-establishing your projected level of success based on someone elses results? Any time someone asks me that question above, I stimply ask them the same exact question back. They usually don't even know what to say, and that usually ends the phone conversation, as well as the relationship.

Why does it end the relationship? Let me make something perfectly clear to all of you who might have a fuzzy feeling about this article so far - you do NOT want to be wasting your time building relationships with people who are just tire kickers and followers. You want to be building relationships with people who are leadership quality, capable of self starting, and who are able to motivate themselves and see their own results without having to ask you about your personal financial position. THOSE are the people you want to be building relationships with, as those are the people that are going to provide your business with longevity and prosperity.

All in all, there is no system in the WORLD that will give you the results you're looking for if you're not willing to step up to the plate and take your own action steps and prove what you're worth. If you're expecting network marketing / MLM to be an easy, automated ride to the top, I highly, highly suggest you look elsewhere for a career opportunity, as I'm sure you'll receive a lovely mental slap as to what it really takes.

If you have mastered the law of attraction, chances are you'll do very well in network marketing / MLM. If not, that's some of what the training and support is that I provide for my team. After that, it all comes down to action steps, like I said before.

Alright, now let's talk about mindset - where should your mind be right now? What are the things you should be thinking about in order to see success in ANY industry, not just network marketing / MLM?

Well, I'll start off with something called a "financial thermostat". Sounds weird, right? Take this into consideration - If you're 100% convinced that you're only worth 40 thousand dollars/year, the chances of you making ANY more than that are slim to NONE, unless you win the lottery. However, the lottery is luck, not success - and anybody who thinks they're "successful" because they won the lottery does not, and will never know what it really takes to be successful. They'll probably spend that money within a fraction of a second, because they have no idea what to do with it.

If you think you're worth 40k/month, you'd better have the work ethic and action steps necessary to put behind that.

These are just the pure basics, and I will be covering more about mindset in a different article.

Alright, now let's talk about the system.

There are SO many systems and home business opportunities available, especially in the network marketing / MLM industry. You really need to pick and choose a system that you believe in, that's step number one toward achieving success. If you're just looking for a "get rich quick" scheme or some sort of money game, don't look into the home based business industry - that's not what we're all about. Chances are, these people will waste your time anyway.

Step number two, is that you have to make sure you're in a system that is duplicatable - in other words, is it possible for you to diplicate what the top earners are doing in these businesses? Is it possible for you to follow their steps and see the same results? That's one of the reasons why I chose the company I'm working with right now.

The third thing in regards to choosing a system is choosing a leader to help support and mentor you on the way to the top. All too often I see someone getting involved with the first person they come in contact with, and they throw themselves at a business - only to have their sponsor go MIA three days later. Believe me, it's happened to me before, and it's not a great feeling. HOWEVER, the winners are the people who will PUSH THROUGH that "neglect" and find help where they need it - not caring about where their former sponsor is. If you're inclined enough to take action and start something yourself, that shouldn't be a problem. Having a great leader in business is still essential if you're newer to the network marketing / MLM industry. You need someone who'se going to take you by the hand and literally show you, step-by-step, things you should and should not be doing, teaching you communication skills, teaching you how to properly market yourself, teaching you how to optimize your OWN web site for search engines, teaching you how to provide value for your prospects, teaching you how to position yourself as a leader, and teaching you how to work the system and so on. Someone who'se going to mentor you and show you what is really required to profit from a network marketing / MLM business.
