FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 4, 2009 -- Indianapolis, IN. – Wolf Technical Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of a new partnership with the Institute for Forensic Imaging, an education, training and research organization. In order to reflect the new path of the organization, the Institute for Forensic Imaging is changing its name to the Indiana Forensic Institute (IFI). The name change will encompass many fields beyond the company’s traditional imaging background and reflect the organization’s expansion into additional forensic areas of focus.

This partnership will allow IFI to expand its course curricula into broader areas of interest in the forensic science field. Wolf plans to utilize the facilities at IFI for testing and analysis and will offer its expertise to help serve the information needs of law enforcement. This partnership will enhance the core business of both Wolf and IFI and strengthen the positions of each entity.

“We are pleased and proud to work with the professionals from IFI and to carry on their valuable and rewarding work,” said Mike Pepe, President of Wolf. “Wolf and IFI are well suited for cooperative efforts in education, training, research and development of the tools used by current and future law enforcement personnel as well as other professional groups. We look forward to a seamless transition.”

Wolf, a 32-year-old Indianapolis based firm, is known throughout the nation for forensic engineering, demonstrative tools for litigation support, safety innovations, and U.S. Department of Defense development work.

“IFI has a proud heritage of creating technical innovations currently used in law enforcement,” said Herb Blitzer, Executive Director of IFI. “We look forward to continuing success with our friends at Wolf playing a very active part in our future. I am rewarded to know the work we have begun will continue even after the current IFI staff reduces its daily involvement.”

IFI is a 12-year-old non-profit, dedicated to educating law enforcement and creating meaningful technologies to enable investigators and crime lab personnel to work more efficiently. IFI has developed tire track and footprint analysis technologies as well as face recognition tools to aid law enforcement in solving crimes. The scientists at IFI, along with the software professionals at Imagine Products (Carmel, IN) also created CrimeVision. CrimeVision is an easy-to-use tool that analyzes video evidence and is used by law enforcement officials nationwide.
