Russian Agricultural Division: registering land proves successful

This document provides legal ensurance of the company’s ownership title and defines precise boundaries of the areas under control.

The condition of land market in Russia poses certain obstacles to rapid progress of RAD expansion and registering plots. Even after the transition, the legal basis for land transactions has not yet been clearly defined – an adequate registration system with unified cadastral record is still in the emerging phase. However, RAD’s team including professionals of agricultural business have proved their expertise on this new ground.
The first certificate assigning a cadastral number was received in 2008, for the land plot in the Altay Territory where PAVA headquarters are based. Since then, all documents have been procured according to the company schedule, owing to excellent skills and commitment of the management team. To date, RAD has cadastral certificates in all regions of its presence.

The company is moving forward with its ambitious strategy of creating a vertically integrated agroindustrial holding in possession of a solid land bank. At present, it amounts to over 160,000 ha on different stages of registration, and RAD is steadily increasing the share of plots in full ownership.
