Three Stars Media Raises $1500 for Charity

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 12, 2009 -- March 12, 2009 – Orlando, FL – Earlier this year, the executives of Three Stars Media pledged five dollars to their charitable outreach fund for every point scored in their intra-company flag football league. With the first season ending next week, the company’s employees will have raised approximately $1500 for local charities.

The football league, dubbed Score for the Future, was created as an activity for the company’s employees to not only participate in their favorite after-hours activity, flag football, but also to give back to the local community. The company experienced such great success this past Christmas with their local community outreach program, Month of Miracles, it was decided a similar program would energize its staff to help the community.

Several local charities are being considered by the outreach committee, comprised solely of Three Stars employees, to determine the most appropriate one to receive some or all of the funds. An announcement about the fund’s dispersion is due within the next few weeks.

The company is considering expanding the program by inviting other local companies to join the league and pledge similar funds for points scored by each organization’s team. They hope to have several new teams signed up for the second season this summer.
