International Society President of Phi Kappa Phi to Induct New Members of Chapter 045 (UP)
Dr. Robert B Rogow, International Society President of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, will be the inducting officer and guest speaker at the Phi Kappa Phi induction ceremonies at UP Diliman.

Dr. Robert B. Rogow, international Society President of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, will be the inducting officer and guest speaker at the Phi Kappa Phi induction ceremonies at the UP Film Center in Diliman on Friday, 3 April 2009 at 3:00 p.m. The UP student inductees represent the top 10 percent of the graduating class and the top 7.5 percent of the junior class. Also invited to be members because of their scholarly achievements are outstanding UP graduate students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni. The UP chapter president is Dr. Gilda C. Rivero, who is the concurrent chancellor of UP Mindanao.
During Dr. Rogow’s visit on 31 March-6 April, he will meet with UP President Emerlinda R. Roman, the board of directors of the Phi Kappa Phi Philippines Foundation, the directors and advisers of the Phi Kappa Phi UP chapter, and hold a special session with its junior members.
Dr. Rogow is a professor of accounting and dean of the College of Business and Technology at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, with a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Arkansas, and M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from Florida Atlantic University. A Certified Public Accountant, he has substantial consulting experience on governmental and nonprofit accounting, reporting, and auditing issues for CPA firms and state agencies An active member of the Richmond Rotary Club, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Richmond Area Arts Council. He has published articles in professional and business journals including the Journal of Accountancy and the Harvard Business Review.
Dr. Rogow received the National Outstanding Discussion Leader Award from the AICPA in 1991-92 and again in 1992-93 for his governmental accounting and auditing seminars throughout the United States. He was given the first S. Paul Garner Outstanding Accounting Educator Award by the Alabama Society of CPAs in 1998, and the Community Service Award by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce in 2003.
