Bestselling author Donna M. Kshir Releases Book and Speaks out Against Violence:

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 30, 2009 -- Bestselling author Donna M. Kshir (Shear) releases third book, "Before I Self-Destruct."

Kshir was a newspaper columnist before venturing into the world of publishing. Kshir's column surrounded healthcare, politics, addiction, religion and the war in Iraq, quickly earning her the reputation as controversial.

Kshir's controversial reputation stands in truth, as she always speaks about the "unspoken." She speaks out on topics that happen in our society, such as child abuse or domestic violence. It's reality, but society denies there are such epidemics plaguing our nation. Such topics happen much more often than people often care to admit.

In September 2008, Kshir accepted the role as Marketing Director for the non-profit, Michigan based organization Dreamcatchers for Abused Children. Dreamcatchers was created by Sandra Potter of Peck, Michigan, whom Kshir describes as "Amazing!"

Kshir stated, "It's a wonderful feeling to be part of such a great organization and work with an amazing woman like Sandra. She is very dedicated to properly educating society on the signs and symptoms of abuse."

Kshir further added, "Domestic violence is not a game and it's definitely no joke. It is deadly for all parties involved. Like Sandra, I strongly believe that early Education and Knowledge is the KEY to Prevention.

"If both young men and women are educated at an early age, the victim will be more aware of the signs and symptoms they would be experiencing and they would know how to get help and get out of an abusive relationship. The abuser could also see what he or she is doing wrong and get the proper help desired to control his anger and rage."

In "Before I Self-Destruct," a young woman documents her life and the beginning of her path to self-destruction. She relives the pain from her harsh upbringing—surrounded by drugs, alcohol and abuse.

Although she vows to never fall short or to fall victim of the same mistakes her mother made, she marries the wrong man for all the wrong reasons, but when a young, mysterious musician enters her life, she too finds herself victim of the same troubled path and mistakes her mother made. On her journey to self-discovery, she discovers a lot more than just herself.

In late 2008, Kshir also released, "Dear Diary- Oh Mother," which The Midwest Book Review calls "a riveting read."
