For techno-buffs, the term PDA stands for personal digital assistant. For celebrity watchers, it stands for public displays of affection. Now, in his latest blog post, "Another View Of Madonna," on his blog at http://cliveswersky.wordpress.com, as a result of paying attention to news stories about the steps Madonna is taking to adopt a four-year old Malawian girl by the name of Chifundo "Mercy" James, Clive Swersky, host and producer of Alive with Clive -- The TV Show That Inspires You To Multiply Your Magnificence! and self-confessed acronym junkie, has just created a new acronym and is commending Madonna for her "PDC," which stands for public display of courage!

"I can appreciate both arguments in favor of allowing Madonna to adopt a four-year old girl from Malawi, and those against," says Clive, "but what I appreciate more than anything else is the courage she is displaying in proceding to do what she feels she is called to do in her life in spite of the criticism she is receiving."

For the past several months, fans of musicians who have been interviewed on Alive with Clive are voting for them to be included in The Alive with Clive Top 20. A song from each musician who ends up in The Alive with Clive Top 20 on the day voting ends will be included on a compilation CD to be sold to raise at least a billion dollars for people suffering from AIDS, and to prevent the further spread of AIDS, in South Africa.

Recent strong moves up the The Alive with Clive Top 20 Chart have been made by Allison Scola, who released her debut CD, A Braver Kind, within the past couple of months; Dave Beck, a talented singer/songwriter from Iowa now based in Manhattan; and Serotonen, which was represented during its recent performance on Alive with Clive by two of its members, vocalist Jenna Handler and pianist Alex Gold.
